BLUE RAIN GALLERY IS SELECTED TO EXHIBIT AT THE
PRESTIGIOUS LOS ANGELES ART SHOW
SANTA FE, N.M. [December 23, 2008] – Blue Rain Gallery is proud to announce that it has been invited to exhibit at the internationally acclaimed Los Angeles Art Show. The art exhibition at the Los Angeles Convention Center runs from January 21 – 25, 2009. This is the first time Blue Rain Gallery has participated in the event.
The Fourteenth Annual Los Angeles Art Show, which focuses on print and sculpture, and will feature work from 175 prominent galleries from around the world. While Blue Rain Gallery has many collectors in California, the gallery hasn't exhibited in the area before. "Los Angeles is a new venue for us. We’re honored to be a part of the show and excited to introduce Southern California to our art," says Peter Stoessel, executive director of Blue Rain Gallery.
New works by four of Blue Rain Gallery's most prominent artists will be featured at the event. "Each of these artists is innovative, unique, and highly collectible in their own way," comments Stoessel.
Tony Abeyta, considered one of today’s finest young contemporary painters, explores different realms of art from classical to contemporary in his mix-media assemblages.
Tammy Garcia, famous for her clay work and sculpture, blends techniques from both mediums in carved bronze wall tiles that express traditional Tewa culture with an art deco feeling.
Internationally recognized and highly collectible glass artist, Preston Singletary, takes ideas and motifs from his Tlingit culture and, using European glass blowing techniques, creates beautiful sculpture.
Jim Vogel is well known for his emotive, colorful paintings that tell stories of the agrarian way of life and the Hispanic traditions of New Mexico.
